Meet the Artist : Lauren Charlton

Lauren Charlton is a Mornington Peninsula based contemporary artist. She grew up in the rolling hills of South Gippsland and is constantly inspired by the landscape and native flora found on her adventures.

Lauren explores the use of acrylic on canvas to create contemporary landscapes and floral artworks. Her style is identified through her use of line and fluid detail. Lauren's early work often features signature 'stars' in the sky which she describes as representing 'people passed who look upon us and continue to guide us'.

Lauren believes that art should invite calm. An opportinuty to stop and reflect or relax. Whether viewing art and finding connections to memory, to place and time or reconnecting with your inner creative at one of her workshops - it's about taking the time to breathe.
